My son got his first Handgun deer Sunday evening ,2 does with my .45 Bisley 5 1/2 in. The load was a 250 gr xtp over 20 gr. of 2400 powder cci primer 7and 30 yds..One was d.r.t. and one went 20 yds.Nasty holes and no bullet recovery. Awesome! Once you get one with a handgun, carrying a rifle is just no fun anymore. He'll be hooked for sure.

Boot is right. I shot a little buck first year with My S.B.B.H. (3years ago) & my Model 70 is backup to my two revolvers. CONGRATS! I hope he has many more.
