Looking for any information on a drop camp elk hunt. My son is wanting to try his luck at killing an elk. I'm not interested in a guided or ride in the truck hunt. We're probably having to go to CO as we have very few PP's in WY (I think 2pp each). I'm open to any state though. By information I mean outfitters names or websites. Thanks in advance.

Probably a good thing that you are not set on hunting Wyoming because they require nonresidents to have a guide or a "resident guide" for you to hunt in the designated wilderness areas. so there would not be an option of an unguided wilderness drop camp.
