Read about Alford Georg in an article that Layne Simpson wrote in March issue "Where have all the long range handguns gone". Good article.

I have done some asking about the book he wrote "Pioneering Handgun Hunting" and the feed back is that this issue is rare and very hard to find.

Does anyone remember the magazine that his articles where published in. Best I remember it was Outdoor Life. I enjoyed reading his articles about hunting with handguns especially the Alaskan hunts. I do remember they published that he was missing and later found his bush plane. All his firearms were missing. The magazine published the make and serial numbers of the firearms and they later caught the guy who stole them.

The issues are long gone and of course wish I had them now. Anyone remember when he pinned those articles and for sure the magazine. I was thinking he wrote them in the 60's. I did some search on the internet and really found nothing on him.
