Glenn I have never heard that part of the story,all Ive read is He died in a plane crash,that Ruger 256 Hawkeye He used was one strange looking handgun wasnt it.I dont remember the make or model but He also removed the stock of a rifle ,bent the tang down to fit a grip,cut the barrel down and fitted a forend and He had a fine 257 Roberts handgun.It was a single shot.
