OK, so I just talked to Dick about this. He said that he was fully aware of this, and in the beginning he was a little worried about it. But now after years (I got mine 3 years ago) and 100's of the sights sold, he has never lost or even heard of one being lost.

So apparently, this is not an issue. I Do Not speak from experience because when I first bought them and realized I could just pull the sight out....well back in the safe they went and I never even tried them once.

I would look real closely at Dicks sights as they are heavy duty!. I know guys that bent the original "OneRaggedHole" sight because it was light gauge. Dick's are as heavy gauge as you can fit into the rear base.
Plus the last time the original ORH guy closed his doors, he kept taking orders for months after and just stole everyones money!!....
