McBain, if you want a good, yet affordable scope, I recommend the Nikon Force XR 2.5-8x28 power. I have one on my 460, and in spite of shooting countless loads ranging from light 45 Colts to my hottest, most brutally recoiling 460 handloads, it hasn't changed its zero yet.
