I had this Redhawk for awhile and decided to make a packing pistol out of it. The barrel was trimmed to 3 3/4" and slab sided to reduce weight, a Weigand interchangeable front sight milled and fiber optics added. Not an Alaskan but pretty close.

Really hard to tell due to the grainy picture but it sounds like it would be a real nice gun.

Rod, too.
Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Just do not shoot a deer with it in Indiana. The barrel must be 4 inches long.

Wheeler I know and though about trimming to 4" but this makes it a little more packable with the proper holster for sure. Work was completed by Wise Gunsmithing

This is a great looking revolver! Who makes the rear sight you have on it? I think I might like to change the sights on my Redhawk which has a 5 1/2 inch barrel.

Nice gun. Similar in looks to the new Toklat I just picked up with the 5" slab sided barrel.

The word that comes to my mind is "classy". Very, very nice.
If it were supposed to be easy, they'd have sent my little sister to do it.

Great looking revolver. I did something similar to a SRH once and I used it as a carry piece for a good while. I regret selling that one. Enjoy your new toy.
