I vote for the 45 Colt and the 460. But the 460 in a T/C platform only. If you're gonna go with the 460, do it right (IMHO), and make it a single shot platform that will utilize the full potential of the round. For me, I went with the Pro Hunter frame from TC, put a 14" MGM barrel on it, and mounted a scope on it. 460's are NOT for close range. Yeah, they work and get the job done, but there is SOOOOO much more to them. Milk jugs at 200 yards are a piece of cake. No challenge at all. You wanna hunt goats on a regular basis, I'd say get a 460 setup, but not a revolver. You won't be shooting successive shots rapidly in a 460 anyway! I had an XVR, and I'm glad I sold it and went with the T/C version. Much more accurate at long range, at least for me.

If goats are just now and then, I'd go with the 45 Colt. However, like was said earlier, you already have the 44Mag stuff, so that works too.

JB, if ya want "more power", ya might ask Whitworth about his 50 Alaskan!
