Guy, not sure what you mean. The barrel heats up whether it's welded or not. The cryo treatment is SUPPOSED to stress and align the steel molecules to allow the barrel to resonate consistantly from shot to shot. The treatment is also SUPPOSED to harden thebearing surfaces to provide a more consistant and longer barrel life. All that said-the jury is still out on the benefits of the extra process and cost. I have some that are cryo's and some not. All shoot very well or I dump them.
