The backpack works fantastic for revolvers. I put a piece of leather on my pack that extends from the barrel/cylinder gap to the end of the barrel. Used cow leather for years. Have to replace it twice a year. Now I use hide from my elephant and hippo. Never have replaced them.
The revolver cradles in the hide with the pack stabilizing my hands and the gun. Sighted in .41, .44, .454, and .500 that way today.Largest group at 100 was 4"- 2 open sights, 2 scoped. No holes in my backpack.
