The nosler JHPs are great. The lead alloy is soft but very strong. It tends to act "gummy". Instead of breaking up they normally wad up in a ball and destroy everything in their path. I am fixing to load a bunch in .41 Mag. I wouldn't hesitate to use them on elk.
