Hey guys, long time, no post but I thought I'd update you. Retired in Feb this year. Just picked up a Magnum Research BFR in 44mag. It is a sweet piece for sure. I've been doing a lot of shooting. Mostly 22 mag, 223 and 308 Encores. Been reading lots of posts but not posting myself. Keep it up. Lots of good reading.

Ive had three BFRs and haven't been disappointed in any of them unfortunately I didn't have the smarts to hang on to the best of the bunch chambered in 475 Linebaugh.

Congrat's on the retirement, Gerry. Glad you are still hanging
Rod, too.
Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Good to see you back here! I've been AWOL a while myself. What barrel length did you get on the BFR? I have the 5" 44 mag and love it. Its a strong gun with the 5 shot cylinder. Very accurate too!

5" .44. It might be the most accurate of my open-sighted revolvers. It'll be on my side or across my chest during Pa Bear and Deer season for sure.

Its a great gun! I was happy with their included scope base setup too. Its well thought out and a very strong design. I didn't originally plan to scope mine. After being impressed with it accuracy I wanted to see what it would do with a scope. I put a 2X Leupold on it and have been very impressed. Good luck on your bear and deer hunts!
