I can only assume that the "8 shots" comment is in reference to the eight holes in the shoulder of my first buffalo. Let's clear the air a bit. The buffalo went down and would have been dead with the first two shots, probably just the first, which was placed in a trot, the second in a dead run. The rest were after the buffalo was down. Same for the second. We easily could have waited for the buffalo to expire but this wasn't just a buffalo hunt, we were there to test bullets and the more bullets used the better.
