What's the opinion of those that heve tried them? Time to find a new scope for he new 7mm-08. I was thinking of another Weaver 2.5-7, but read a couple of good reviews on the Bushnell. Any recomendations for the best place to shop for scopes?

Here ya go, BRUNOSHOOTERS.COM. Best scope prices I've found yet. Got 2 of my Trophy 2x6's there for my Contender, one for my .22LR Match barrel, another for my 6.5 JDJ barrel. No complaints here!

They are tough little scopes. I have one on a 14" 45-70 and run some stout loads through her without any problems.
Just use mounts that have been lapped and you'll be fine.

It would appear that they only have the Elite 3200 series now.

So far I have seen the best prices from Natchez Shooters Supplies. They have the Burris 4x pistol scope on sale right now for $159.95. Item #F01BU200235
A buddy of mine has a Bushnell 2x-6x on a 7-30 Waters contender w/muzzle break. So far no issues after ten plus years.

Thanks for al the help guys. Looks like I'll be ordering one in the morning. Another question. Can anyone tell me what rings I'll need with this scope on my Encore? High, med, or low (doubt the low)? I know it will vary by brand. Anybody tried these? http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=348587They are "Millett 1" Angle-Loc Vertical Split Weaver-Style Rings". Price seems too good to be true.

You may not need a high ring for the scope bell, but I like high rings for a couple of reasons. There is more room to get your thumb on the hammer without the need for those damb extensions. A higher ring also adds a few yards to your bottom-dead-zero range by increasing the arc to the apex of the trajectory (+3" over line of sight), which makes the -3" progress further out. FWIW, Rod.
Rod, too.
Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Thanks for all the help guys.
I ordered the matte blue 2-6 & Warne rings from Midway this morning. Bullets & brass were supposed to ship from Midsouth yesterday. Ernie already sent me some dies.
Hopefully by this time next week I'll be oooohing & aaaaaahing over how sweet she shoots.

I have two of them very good scope.I slipped down a snow covered mountain and dropped my contender on the way down. This was the 2nd day of the hunt.I figured i would have to use the backup gun.The front bell was (and still is) bent pretty good but it was still on zero.I shot a muledeer buck two days later no problem.

Comparing the Leupold 2.5x8 with the Bushnell trophy 2x6 is hardly fair considering the price difference. The 2x6 Elite 3200 has one advantage over many scopes in that the eye relief is basically constant across the power range and I wouldn't hesitate to put the 3200 on any thing. I had one on my 416 Taylor for a while before opting for more X's and went to the Leupold.
