Many years ago when I first got into reloading, I was given a quantity of loaded ammunition with the admonition that these were for use as "components only". Like so many other projects, they aged in the garage for lack of time and a bullet puller. I happened across an article, the source of which I do not remember, entitled "Are Plier Pulled Bullets Really Accurate". The author detailed his experiences of pulling lead bullets with a pair of lineman's pliers, reloading, and shooting them. He claimed there was little ,if any, difference in accuracy between the pulled projectiles and first run bullets. I got out my pliers and pulled and reloaded a quantity of .44 bullets. By golly, he was right, so I am sure the pulled bullets work fine. I did not try this method with jacketed, but it may work with some of them too.
