Congratulations! Great story and deer. What do you think is the max distance the 7.62x39 from that pistol good for deer size game? I think I know where an Encore pistol barrel is in that caliber

I'm no expert, and my farthest kill with it is only 88 yards, but I would not hesitate on a shot at 150 yards. I use 154 gr. JSP's and they have always punched clean through deer and turkey, but my average distance is around 60 yards. Maybe someone else has more experience with the 7.62 X 39 or 30-30 concerning distance.
