Haven't posted on here in a while, but still in the handgun game! Picked up a new Stainless Blackhawk today in 10 mm with an extra 40 SW cylinder. Didn't even know this combo was available till I saw this one. I'm a big fan of the Blackhawks and the 10 and cheap ammo for the 40. I'll ring it out tomorrow, hopefully she will be a shooter!

I set out to buy something that would be for range use and hunting. The 357 was at the top of the list. I was totally unaware that my 10 conversion even existed. When I saw it I had to have it. The 10 works great in Texas and the 40 will be cheap shooting.

I?ve been looking at the 367/9mm convertible for the same reason. The 40/10mm sounds very interesting!

I was not aware of this one. They made a 10mm/38-40 convertible at one time. The 10/40 should be a good combination.
I have owned a S&W 610 No Dash since they came out. I carried it for years as a Reserve Deputy. HOT 10mm for carry and cheap 40 S&W for practice. The 610 uses moon clips so no need for two cylinders.
Great find I am sure you will like it. Another advantage, if you spend much time at a Range you can pick up a lifetime supply of 40 S&W brass in a short time.

A little different, but I have a Glock 29 10mm with a drop in .40 barrel. It's great.

I think the 10/40 is a Lipseys exclusive right now. Shot it this morning and am very happy. 5 different loads all shot great with minimal impact point change between caliber

Many are rechambering the 10mm cylinder to 38/40 so they have a rimmed case & then buying strong, Starline brass.

I purchased one a few months ago, 4 5/8" barrel. Shoots well, not made as well as my Freedom Arms but there is a pretty big price difference. I like the 40 S&W, when buying case lots I get for about 12.00 a box, price of .22magnum. I also like the big 200 and 220grain hard cast Underwoods for woods packing. It does need some trigger work and a fiber optic front sight blade but overall I enjoy the pistol.

10mm/40sw seems to be a nice combo. 10mm power close to 41mag.
Lots cheaper to shoot than 41mag.. Esp w/40sw.
Ruger Buckeye 38-40/10mm prices seem to be all over the place.
Found a NIB one @$1600. Used were $900.. Pretty blued gun...

Been quite a while since I got my Buckeye 10mm/38-40, but I think I paid $500 even for it new. Crazy they've gone up so much, especially with the new distributor exclusives in 10mm lately. Eric.

I'm really hoping they keep this caliber combo as a distributor deal. Now that I've got it, I kinda like having something a little different and this 10/40 is exactly what I needed.. very capable for Texas hunting and easy on the budget at the range. Accuracy is very good!

l'd love to have a SBH Hunter in 10MM/40S&W..
Looking at ballistics for 10mm/40s&w ammo l see it meets the
old standard of 500 Ft Lbs of Energy @ Muzzle for Whitetail in
Ga... Here in South Carolina handgun ammo for deer is limited to
''Any Center Fire'' ctg. Still anxiously awaiting my first kill
with my Baby Browning in 25ACP. ;-)

Lots of luck with 10mm Blackhawk!! I like the 10mm and I love single actions. But right now use my GLock 20 topped with a Trijicon RMR, I also put a Zev trigger in so it's super slick. I've been working up handloads but my hunting has consisted of Underwoods 200gr XTP which has proven to be very accurate. I'm glad to see that the 10mm is getting popular across the different platforms.

I just bought an XDM 5.25? 10mm. Plan to send the slide to Powder River gunsmith to have the slide milled to mount a Delta point red dot on it. Should make for a great field gun/ everyday carry around the farm. Look forward to taking a whitetail with it this coming season.

When I shot the 200 gr XTP Underwood in my Kimber 10mm I had some serious primer flow and flattened primers, decided not to shoot them anymore in that gun... Eric.

No primer issues so far. I'm also running it with a KKM bbl. and 20lb. recoil spring.
