I've taken around 10 deer and 20+ groundhogs with the Sierra 350 gr. HP. It is totally awesome. Big internal damage, big exits. Deer rarely move. Groundhogs are almost cut in two.
The Horn. 350 gr. XTP acts just like a FMJ-minimal expansion, minimal damage-typical XTP performance in most calibers.
Another good bullet for deer and smaller is the 275 gr. Barnes X. Less recoil. Damage about like the Sierra. 325 Xs work OK in deer, just not as much damage as the 275X and Sierra.
I did a brown bear with a 375X years ago. Getting ready for that hunt I took 5 deer with it from 100-150 yds with my Taurus .500 Mag. Damage was decent. Deer did not move. Did the brownie at 129. He didn't move either.
