I have a Vortex 2-7x Scout Scope on my .243 Winchester model. I?ll likely put a 3.5-10x Leupold VX3 on this one.

I am looking at the Nikon Force XR 2.5-8x28 pretty hard. I wasnt sure about using a scout scope on a pistol. This is a first for me so Im trying to use the tried and true setups this season.

Artemis444......I've got a 2x6 scope and a Little Bastard APA brake on mine. No noticeable recoil with 125 grain Win. factory loads. The brake does create a lot of noise though. I'm going to try some Rem. 140 CLs next chance I get. Hinterland Outfitters still had a few in stock about a week ago. Ive got one in 444 Marlin with a brake... She barks haha

For those with the EGW base/mount for this pistol, which of their offerings is the correct one? I did the measurements on my .243 that are needed to select the right one, but neither the v2 base, or the centerfire base, match. What am I missing here? Is there a another base that is specific to the v2 pistol that I haven't found yet? I need the same base for a 6.5 Creedmoor, and a .300 Blackout, too

I have two of them (.243?Win/ 6.5 CM) and yes, the furniture ain?t that great. Overall, the gun is still better than a Factory TC Encore as to function.
I can live with the furniture for the CVA trigger, barrel lock up, and accuracy.

Zee is spot on! I also have the 243 and 6.5cm and they are quality handguns. I hope someone will make some aftermarket furniture for them down the road.

I just received my 6.5 scout. I also have the 300blk & .243 version. I have been very pleased with my the Scouts. I put a 2x6 Bushnell pistol scope on mine.
