I just picked up my revolver yesterday, put a leupold 2.5-8 on it and after zeroing I thought I was missing the target,so I went over to take a look and found 3 shots into one big oblong hole at 36 yards! My question is do I try to run it up to 1600fps or do I quit with this load-210 gr. ftp +22gr. H110 @1540 fps.

First off,,, I would stretch the legs on the load and see what it is doing at 50 and 100yds and if it is still good,, maybe go farther. If you are still happy then I would not argue with success. If results are not satisfactory then make a change.

Outstanding! 41's have always intrigued me, but I have just never made up my mind to get one.

If its shooting that good a 100 yds at 1540 fps no deer is going to notice another 60 fps.

BIZZMO: NOW THE QUESTION IS "IS YOUR BULLET GOOD ENUFF"? TO ME, THE ACCURACY INDICATES THAT THE BULLET IS NOT BEING COMPROMISED AS IT TRAVELS FROM CYLINDER AND INTO THE BARREL (JUST MY THINKING), BUT HOW WILL IT DO ON GAME? WHAT BULLET ARE YOU USING?
"ADAPT OR DIE". I USE ALL CAPS, NOT BECAUSE I AM YELLING, BUT BECAUSE IT IS AN OLD HABIT FROM MY ARMY DAYS, PLUS IT IS EASIER TO TYPE AND READ.

210 grain hornady xtp,I also have a box of 210 grain speer deep curl that I haven't tried yet, along with a box each of barnes xpbs and lehigh 150 grain extreme defender. Our deer season is closed now so I won't be bothering with any of that copper stuff for now.

FA 10'' 41Magnum is THE revolver king in IHMSA BIG BORE... Most shooters use Hornady 210gr TPs. They will knock down the 55pound RAMS @200Meters... XTP is preferred-- Esp since Sierra stopped making their 220gr SILH. They still make 170 @ 210gr JHP. Not as accurate as the XTP tho

Bizno get rid of the Lehigh they are not that good. NOW,,, although the Speer and the Barnes are great, that XTP from hornady will take care of Deer. Also XTP have always been very accurate for me. Performance wise I would still go with a Speer or XPB from barnes for other critters.
