After a long hot month of bowhunting with no good news, our Georgia gun season opened two weeks ago. Thank goodness it has cooled off. I get out at least two days a week but so far no luck.
I am carrying my T/C Contender in 7-30 Waters with a 2-6X Bushnell scope. It was a 14" and I took several deer with it the last few years but I had it chopped to 10". Accuracy is still great and it carries so much better for me. I don't think the deer will notice the little loss in muzzle velocity from the shorter barrel.
As I said it has been a little slow and I am not seeing many deer but they are there. Hopefully me and them will come together since I can stay after them until January and that is a long way off.

Good luck to those of you hunting!
