I had the BFR in 45/70 and it was awesome, excellent accuracy and I was pushing 440gr hard cast to over 1600fps out of the 7.5in barrel. I own two custom Rugers in 475 and I love the cartridge and for a big bore it is capable of excellent accuracy out of a good gun and it will handle anything from deer to T-Rex. I don't know if you saw my post where I mentioned an article about a guy that had taken 3 elephants, all with one shot kills and one big bull at 60yds and the bullet penetrated through the skull, brain and hit the 3rd vertebrae for a total of 4 feet of penetration.
