Practicing helps keep you focal on what your hunting or going to be hunting. Or if your just out hiking, and got to prevent an aggressive bear from making you their intended dinner.

Here is my bear target from 25 yards, shot from an un-scoped Ruger SBH. Bears can be taken much closer if in defense as the need requires here in Montana. These targets would be much better if they were life size, but they are not.

Here is a pic up much closer, showing a couple of throwers on the head area, but I practice for both areas on dangerous game.

Just remember to practice and keep focal on what you may encounter and remember the "Clauswitz Rule"
