not really....cause one had already bitten the big one. but...i did pay the coyote back for stealing one of my favorite summer targets....lol. shot him at roughly 150yrds with the OTT 6x47 contender. used the picnic table and an old pillow grabbed up real quick like. the 75gr sierra hp did great! never twitched

How much faster is that 6X47 than the 6 TC/U? Is recoil about the same? Do you have to fireform the 222 brass before you can fill the case? By the way great shot!
If it jams force it! If it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

i've never taken direct comparison of muzzle velocity, n may not. velocities of both should roughly be close enough to matter very little to me personally. the 6x47 is a simple neck up of 222 magnum to 6mm with no fireforming. you can also use the newer 204 ruger case, which i do. the shoulder is pushed back on the 204, since it's shoulder is farther forward than a 222mag.
the 6x45(aka 6mm-.223), 6x47, and 6TCU(6mm-.223 improved)., along with a 6BR in an encore are super cartridges imo. recoil with these is negligible, and they are great for target, varmints, predators, deer if ya want(under the right circumstances), and just plain fun to play/reload/experiment with.

Let that be a lesson to the rest of the coyotes out there. Never seen one in MD although they claim we have 'em. Probably do. Congratulations. Nice little 6 you got there.
I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a handgun today.
