I would spend a little more and go with the Ruger, they are the toughest and most reliable of the factory guns. S&W makes a sweetheart of revolver but they are more expensive and won't handle the hot hunting loads the SRH will and if you like single actions then Ruger is the way to go unless you want to step up to FA or a custom.
