This is a revolver built in Germany that the barrel and cylinder can be changed from 22lr to 454 Casull and it uses the same frame. I have looked at this for few a years now and think it's a neat concept and really great looking. The craftsmanship looks to be very percise, and built with great precision. I'm sure it's rather expensive. I can't find any info on price or if it can even be exported to the US. I checked the website tonight and I see they are building one in 500 S&W also. Here is the web site, check it out; JANZ Revolver Hey Mikewin, Ravenman, and Elche what do you guys know about this revolver?

That kinda reminds me of the old Medusa revolver. They were great quality but expensive & didn't sell well. It's very cool. Hate to ask the price!

Looks like a Dan Wesson with some Bling Bling!
If it jams force it! If it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

Hey Mikewin, Ravenman, and Elche what do you guys know about this revolver? Tigger, if memory serves me right the revolver in question was tested by a Swedish gun magazine about a year ago. I'll check into that. If it was the gun you're interested in, I believe I recall that the price was about $4500-5000 and the testers were impressed by the technical aspects of the gun but not with the precision, at least not for that price. I'll be back on this.

It is a beautiful revolver but there is a reason behind the interchangeability of the gun. To the best of my knowledge, Germany allows it's citizens to own three firearms. That is it. So the market for a gun that can have caliber interchangeability is greater in such an environment.

To the best of my knowledge, Germany allows it's citizens to own three firearms. That is it. With that legislation in place, I can see why they can charge more for these guns, and the rationale for interchangeable long guns like the Blasers. I guess if limited to three, my total spend would be about the same as the rest of my firearms collection!

I guess if limited to three, my total spend would be about the same as the rest of my firearms collection! I'm not an expert on German gun laws but I can honestly say that I doubt this very much. The German gun and hunting culture is much stronger than the Swedish one, and even we are allowed to own 24 guns of which 10 can be handguns, if we provide a certain and very high level of theft protection. The figure could actually be highter if we provide the police with proof of "need" for more. If you're a Swedish gun collector there is no limit at all in terms of numbers, on the other hand you're not allowed to shoot with the guns in your gun collection so that kind of takes the fun out of it. But it is correct that the European taste for changeable barrel sets is derived from legal issues. Barrel sets normally never count as guns, so you could have one gun and an infinite number of barrel sets but still only have one gun from the legal perspective. Should I ever go into long guns (heaven forbid... ) this would be the road I would take.

The gun was tested in a Swedish gun magazine in 2006. I have the issue back home - will find it when I get back on Sunday.

Thanks Mike! I would love to read a copy of the article. I e-mailed them and got a short response back. The 4 barreed revolver is 4200 Euros which equates to $5,747.28 US dollars. Then I'm sure shipping and import tax would add to that. Here is the quick note I got from them. I hope they send me some info, but If they don't it's OK as I don't think I'll be ordering one anytime soon. JTL - revolver
Hello Mr. Adams,
thank you for the interest in our revolver. The prices for the changeable model ( from .22 up to .454 Casull) begins at € 4.200,00.

My family is from Germany. I'm hoping they can answer some of these questions by e-mail. First thing that iron needs is a sound bead blasting. Too chiney for me.
