I had a conversation years ago with the late Hal Swigget about this round and he said his opinion was 50 yards or less for the 357 and that most folks would be better served by the 41,44,or 45colt.He also highly recommended a scope for the 357 for exact bullet placement.And for what it's worth we tried one when we started hog hunting with hounds years back and found that feral hogs can carry alot of 357 lead.This was just our experiences.
