My birthday is coming up and my intensions were to tell my family that I wanted this year was handgun hunting books. I have only three and I think it is about time that I remedy the situation. So, with that being said, I need some help. If you were going to start a library of handgun hunting books, what would you start with? Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks
Duane

TC,
The one "true" classic is "Handgun Hunting..." by Al Georg. It is quite expensive, and "rare", runs around $200.

I have Successful handgun hunting by Phil W Johnston along with a few others you mentioned.
It's a pretty good read.

They are not focused on handgun hunting, but Hell I Was There and Sixguns by Elmer Keith are worth adding to your collection if you don't own them already.

Just to add to what has been said.
Long Range Pistol Handbook by Ron Sabo, he has some hunting stories.
Handgun Hunting By Major George C. Nonte,Jr. and Lee E. Jurras
For some great comical handgun stories and reading try Skeeter Skeltons two books;

those are some good ones, but if you really want to expand your horizons, get a hold of Capstick, Ruark, and Corbett inspite of the fact they are talking in terms of long guns, they are talking about dicey situations with big critters that bite back and don't seem to be intimidated by the fact that they are supposed to be dead.

Don't forget the many great articles of Bob Milek and Ross Seyfried about handgun hunting from the "Guns&Ammo" magazines of the eighties.

Funny to read Skeeter Skelton being told his 44mag was stud or show off gun. And then read post about how the 44 is to small to take game.
