I guess a lot also depends on how "back country" you get when you hunt. My main site is a relatively short walk from the farmer's house and my Jeep, so I don't go heavy on survival equipment. My secondary site is 30 acres so very close to my Jeep again and houses around. My tertiary site is only 50 acres, again with a house on it. Unless I were somehow totally alone and broke my leg, I don't need to worry too much about survival gear. The cell phone even works everywhere I hunt. Gee...sounds kinda boring, huh?
