Some years ago, the Armadillo moved into Louisiana. It's arrival was gleefully welcomed by the native Cajuns who proceeded to stew, bake and fry every Armadillo they could kill, or catch. The salvation of this little beast was the discovery that the Armadillo is the only species, other than man, that can carry the Leprosy virus. Take the proper precautions if you are handling them.
