This new 30TC seems to be long action performance in a short throw case. Actually the .30 TC has slightly less case capacity than the .308 Win. The .30 TC has about 54 grains of water capacity and the .308 has about 56. This comes from Hornady. They developed the round. I called them for the particulars before I boutgh my '06 barrel.
