I have a 50 cal ml barrel from tc and a second encore frame and barrel in 45 cal. The 45 cal is a cut down Bergara ml barrel at 16". shoots dead center 260 gr. bullets over 90 grains of BH209 into a 3-4" group at 100 yds. I shot 3 bullets at 150 at a life size deer target and hit 1 shot in the heart and 2 in the lungs close to the heart. I had worked up from 75 grains to 90 and would have gone further but hunting season came.
The cost of the Bergara barrel was $166 at Natchez.com-cost to cut and crown was $55 at local gunsmith.
My main concerns when working the load was accuracy and unburnt powder. Put a sheet out in front of the bench and at 90 gr. saw no unburnt powder. That's just the bh209, no other powder tried.
Here are 2 pics of the cut down Bergara barrel.
