I was fortunate enough take take my first handgun deer last year with my Encore barrel in 7mm-08, so this year I set out to try out the .243 win. This guy presented me with a 40 yard, frontal shot and the 95gr Nosler Partitions anchored him after only 30 yards!

Nice. That's exactly what I'm looking for on Monday.....enough horn to be legal, but not too much to get caught up in the brush!!

Congrats!! I'll be carring my Encore 243 in a couple of weeks to West Tenn. Hopefully I'll get to take a buck, but a big mature doe or two will work just as well.
