Thanks Darrell! Uganda is a beautiful country. Situated south of Sudan, north of Tanzania, with Congo to the west and Kenya on the east, Uganda is truly wild Africa. Karen and I had a lucky hunt with things going better than expected. I took eleven head including 2 Uganda kob, 2 Nile bushbuck, east African bush duiker, oribi, east African Bohor reedbuck, east African sitatunga, Jackson's hartebeest, Uganda Defassa waterbuck, and on the last day Nile buffalo. All plains game was taken with an H-S Precision 270 WSM using 140 gr. Nosler AB. The buff was taken with an Encore in 375 JDJ with Cor-Bon 270 gr. DPX. The hunt was more than I ever imagined and we are both thankful for the experience.

Nice hunt mark. As soon as one country closes due to corruption then another viable one opens hopefully. It sure looked interesting at sci this year. Congrats on a great hunt

Awesome trophies, Mark. Are you having them mounted over there, or are you having the work done in the states?

Congrats, Mark! You have taken some beautiful trophies!
Thanks for the kind words. Jet lag/travel fatigue caught up with me last evening and I was feeling like a Zombie! I'm undecided about the taxidermy at this point. Gary, I did give him a third eye as he was lying in the grass waiting for us. Only shot I had from around 75 yards. He didn't go anywhere after that!

Nice trophies, did your wife take any?
Karen did not hunt but she really enjoyed the experience. Plus, she didn't have to cook, clean, or do laundry for two weeks :}

Saw Uganda on Top Gear, looks like heaven when the natives aren't restless!

Mark, how difficult was it to get the permits to bring in handguns?
Gentlemen, I appreciate the kind words. Permit for handguns was no different than for rifles. Painless.
