Back from Oregon Elk hunt

I shot this spike on the 29th with my XP-100 35Rem at about 25 yards using a 180gr Hornady SSP push by 39.3grs of H-322 velocity is right at 2,240fps. Bullet performance was awesome!!! Hit him top of shoulder and exited out of his neck...If you look you can see a big patch of hair and flesh missing...LOL..To the left is my big brother he uses one of those funny long guns

My Dad also got his Elk as for my brother he was the only one that did not get one...he did shoot at a few though don't know how he missed
