Good luck MO hunters! Whatcha gonna carry?

MO's general firearm deer season begins Saturday. What are you going to carry opening weekend?

I'll start out with a 13" MGM 414 Supermag Encore as any shot opportunity I get where I will be sitting is going to be 100 yards or less.

Starting out with an H-S Precision in 260 Rem. Wife's shooting an Encore in 260 also. Best of luck

Ruger Super RedHawk in 44 mag is what I will have with me. But I will also have my son with his 7mm-08 rifle with me so I'm pretty much just a guide for atleast the 1st weekend.

Hopefully I will get a chance to hunt this season, I will be moving to another city here in MO this month....but if I do, I will be using FA 83 in .454 (didn't have time to cook up load for .45LC cylinder)...probably factory Federal load....Best of luck to all of you!

CVA Optima V2 Pistol with a Burris 2-7 Scope. Powder Charge 90 grain by volumn of Blackhorn 209 Powder under a 250 grain Nosler HP.

I also have my 35 Bullberry Super 14 ready to run with a MatchDot II optical sight. This will be the first year with one of Tonys forends. Bullets 180 XTP at 1900 fps.

The wife will miss opening day riding horses in Arkansas. I also have her 357 Maximum 13" Contender that I could use. It to has a MatchDot II and Tonys forend. It is pushing a 180 XTP at just under 1800 fps.

Not on my opening day plans, but my 480 SRH might start feeling neglected if I do not get it out of the safe during season.

So many good choices, so few tags.

The 414 struck yesterday with a nice 9 pt. I've switched to a 13" MGM in 357 Max now for doe tag fillin. The season is long and I've no desire to tag out yet, so I'll primary be observing, but still getting out and enjoying the opportunities.
