Sneaking Away in NC

Sneaking Away in NC - 04/25/2017 4:13 AM

On May 20th, my wife and I are flying to North Carolina for two weeks for the birth of our first grand baby. Now, the simple reality of life for a guy is, as thrilled as I am at meeting this little miracle and becoming a grandpa, I can't hold a baby for two weeks. After about 3 days, I'm gonna start getting a little ...itchy. I was wondering today, any of you fellows live in the Asheville area of NC, and is there any possibility of my sneaking off from time to time and getting in some hog hunting? Is there free-range hogs in that part of the country? Are they free to hunt like in other parts? Can anybody help a brother out?

I'll be taking my EDC Kimber 1911, of course, and I can put the Dan Wesson .44 mag in the same case just as easy.

I live about 90 miles away but no hogs here. If it was deer season I might could help you.

I actually kind of figured that might be the case.

Congrats on the new arrival!!

I'm of no help to you for info on the Carolinas, but I figured I'd say congrats anyway.

Have a great trip.

My sister lives in Asheville but I have not seen any hogs around there. I usually carry a beagle and chase rabbits!
Congrats on the new little one.
