Matchdot or matchdot II ?

For hunting purposes which do you prefer and why.

I have several handguns with 2x scopes, and one with a 2.5-8x. I want to set up one with a dot to see how I like it. Of these 2 which do you prefer? Thanks

What gun are you going to put it on? If a Ruger revolver with their integral scope ringmounts you will need an extension ring set to mount either of them. The crosshair/circle/dot reticle on the MD II looks interesting. If the price isn't much more I'd like to give it a shot.

I think the turret on the top to adjust the bullet drop is probably the best feature. I own and like my existing MatchDot I, however if I was buying today, the MD2 would get my vote.

I like the Ultra Dot Matchdot I have 5 they work for me , I am a woods hunter, especially at low light, good luck with your decision
