Salt Creek Forum Hunt 2019

Our annual forum hunt is scheduled/booked for April 24, 25, 26 in Ohio. It's a Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. We have a spot or two available if you'd like to join us. As of now, my wife and I, cmnash, rougerocco, BKS, and a lady hunter from Ohio are definates. Racksmaster hopefully will be able to attend also. I've invited others, but....we will see. We have a great time of enjoying the outdoors, shooting, and killing. The camp fire discussions are the best...what works, what doesn't, etc.......this is a hunt behind a fence....I grew up on a farm and eat meat 😉 I know that the meat in a grocery store is grown behind a fence, so I don't have a problem with it......just wanted everyone to be 100 percent clear about it....last year was our best hunt so far....if interested, send me a PM

I would encourage anyone who can to attend a forum hunt, we have been at Salt Creek for the last 3 years,it is a awesome time,to do some hunting, the best part is bull shitting at the campfire, I can tell you ,I have met people there that are lifelong friends!

Ditto. I look forward to this trip each year, not just for the dead animals, but more so for the chance to share a camp with others that are passionate about handgun hunting.

I couldn't agree more. The campfire discussions are the best, plus getting to see and shoot a lot of very different hunting handguns. I, just like Jim, have met my best friends on these hunts

Sounds like another fun hunt. Someday I?ll get to attend. Look forward to seeing the pics and reading the stories.

The preserve setting allows for 100 percent shooting opportunity and more importantly, the chance to hunt together as a group. It isn't often that a handgun hunter gets to observe animals take bullets realtime over the shoulder of another handgunner. The learning and knowledge in the flesh can't be equally expressed online.

Those bullets look familiar James, the best thing about these hunts are the people that your with, to be honest with you we are family.

There have even been a nickname or two earned on these hunts...LOL

I hit the range today to began practicing for our upcoming hunt. It is gonna be fun.

The hunt is coming up fast...

Some recent threads here on the forum lately have included cast vs. jacketed, and .44 Mag loads on large game. Our upcoming event will take these conversations from internet theory to bloodletting in the flesh.

I will be tackling the largest animal I have ever killed with my iron sighted .44 revolver. It's gonna be interesting for sure.

I'm new to the forum but this hunt looks like a blast. This year is definitely out but hopefully the next. What are the details, cost, etc. It would be awesome to hunt with a crew of handgunners. Good Luck to all, looking forward to the pictures!

Without a doubt, these hunts are AWESOME! The comradery is the best part of these hunts. A lot of useful in field trials take place. Good times and a lot of fun. I've made a few life time friends on these hunts. Nothing more humbling when my wife shoots 480's and 460's without the first complaint about recoil

Rougerocco and his son, cmnash, my wife and myself, plus a lady hunter from Ohio will be present for this year's hunt...men, women, and children...all are welcome to hunt
