Graduation gift

Graduation gift - 10/12/2019 4:23 PM

Trying to decide on which BFR Bisley to present to my son after he graduates from PA (Physicians Assistant) school.

Of all the different cartridges BFR offers in a short cylinder which one would you buy as someone?s first revolver cartridge?

I?m leaning towards the 7.5 inch 44 Magnum given ammo is readily available and recoil is minimal.

What your opinions?

I?ll concur with your leanings. Can?t go wrong with the 44.

Although my preferred handgun cartridge is the .45 colt, to utilize is strictly a handloading proposition. For that reason I'd recommend a .44 mag too.

500 Linebaugh. You can only hope that he will hate it and then give it back to you.

Can't go wrong with a 44. I'd agree, go 5-6" tube.
