.327 Federal Magnum - 01/28/2020 12:50 AM

Got me a new Bisley Single Seven in .327 federal magnum coming, dont see a lot of choices of factory ammo out there so I just ordered everything I need to reload for it. I will be using 100gr Hornady XTP's for it, anyone got any good load recipes. Will be used for coyotes mostly.

My 327 Encore shoots about MOA with 13.1 grains of H110 (max is 13.2 grains.)

The 100 grain XTP is deceptively tough. I killed a deer with one that went from shoulder to opposite side waist on a steep quartering shot. You might consider the 85 grain XTP if you can find it.

Federal is about to introduce a 127 gr load for the 327. Looks Promising

13 grains of H110 and a CCI 400 primer. That does pretty good in my 5.5 inch bisley Single Seven and both my 3 inch SP101s.

Longhunter, if you decide to try cast & you probably will be sure the nose to crimp length is short enough to fit your gun. On the Single Sevens many cast bullets won't fit your gun because of the short cylinder. You might do some measuring before you place an order.
