After James posted that pic it got me in the mood a bit. I always like seeing everyone handgun kill pics. How about posting some pics from last season? Here are mine.
The single shot is an MOA Maximum falling block chambered in .250 Savage. It wears a Burris 3x-9x pistol scope that I leave on 6x. Firing a 100 grain Ballistic Tip at around 2600 fps, it has proven to be a fantastic deer killer.
This was my last deer with a handgun. Button buck taken with a 9" MGM Encore barrel in 357 mag. Frontal shot at about 30 yards. He ran about 20 yards and dropped.
REDHAWK, I was using a Barnes VOR TX factory load with the 140 grain XPB HP. I didn't have time to work anything up then.
I since have been loading Hornady 158 grain XTP's with a near max charge of H-110 and it shoots very good out of the Encore. It also shoots great in my 6 inch Security Six. Both have red dots on them. I hope to chronograph both guns when I get home in a few days.
Probably use the Ruger SS this year and either my 44 Encore or my 5" Super Redhawk 44.
