Ruger Super Blackhawk size comparison to BFR 44 Ma

Anyone have pics of these side by side? Just wanting to know how much bigger the BFR is.

Sorry for so many questions lately...a new pistol is like picking a new girlfriend...she has to be just right lol.

No pics but the BFR frame is a little beefier than the Ruger. Not a huge difference but enough to feel.

Blackhawk on top has a 8" barrel, BFR is 7.5"

The 7.5" has an excellent balance.
Both grips are from Gary Reeder.

One thing to point out on barrel length.
Ruger measures the barrel from muzzle to forcing cone.
Magnum Research ch measures from muzzle to the front of the frame.

A 7.5? Ruger barrel is roughly the same length as a 7.0 BFR barrel.

I just ordered a BFR 44 mag 7" with Bisley grips. They said it would take awhile, but I'm exited to get it.

You will love you BFR with their version of a Bisley grip. It is longer than the Ruger Bisley grip and handles heavy recoil better. The 44 magnum loaded right has dropped all game clear up to elephant. And if you do not hand load it is the best big bore you can use.

Thanks Jeffrey, I am looking forward to shooting the BFR. I haven't handloaded 44 much yet, but plan to. I was torn between the 5.5" and 7.5", but figured the extra barrel length would be best for hunting.
