I've had to step down from handgun hunting due to tough times and I am looking to get back into it. My problem is which gun should I get.

Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter in 44
Ruger Blackhawk .41mag
T/C encore 7mm-08

Lets hear everyone's thoughts

You're gonna get a million answers. Really depends on what you're going to hunt. .44&.41 are short range gun with the .41 having less recoil than the .44, but about 80-90% as powerful.
The 7mm/08 is a long range gun, easily up to 300 yds. (with a lot of practice).
What you need to think about most :how easy is to get the ammo or reloading items for each one due to currant political climate? THings are not going to be like they were 2 years ago!

all of them! can you tell that i am an enabler. seriously I agree with the hitman- what and how far? if you want to keep it under 150 yards and fast follow up shots go with the revolvers. if you are good with one and done and longer range go with the 7-08.
good luck with your dilemma and let us know how it turns out.

I vote for the Super Blackhawk!!!! Love those revolvers.

But really, play Rock, Paper, Scissors with them, and the winner will be great!!

The Encore will reach further and do great close up. You will probably shoot it more accurately too.
There is no right or wrong or best, just what you want to start with....

If you want a handy shortgun for bowhunting ranges: 41 Magnum Blackhawk with open sights or a compact red dot.
If you want to reach out and knock down game in the three digit yardages: 7mm-08 Encore
If you want something kinda in between: 44 Magnum SBH Hunter with a scope

Look at how you hunt and where. I hunt mostly in timber where a long shot is 100yds. My wife covers a power line on one side of her stand where she can shoot to 200 yds + and timber in front. I carry two guns a .45 Colt Blackhawk for close in, and a scoped longer range gun[caliber varies]. If I could only have one it would be the scoped long range. With a variable scope I can go short or long as needed. So look at your circumstances, will you hunt thickets or open ground or both and choose accordingly. I can do with the long gun anything I can with the short but not the other way around. What ever you choose practice with it all you can . The first shot sometimes is the only one you get. .41,.44,7-08 all good choices.

If I could only go with one, it would be the SBH in .44 magnum with a scope. It will do anything the .41 would do and you might even stand a chance at finding ammunition for it if needed.

Might being the key word...
