Cutting edge raptor bullets brass and copper

I’ve used their solids, and they do what solids do. I just ordered up enough of the brass and copper Safari Raptor bullets, ( hollow point hunting bullets) and plan on doing some extensive trap testing for performance and penetration. The bullets are mono metal, with pedals that are made to penetrate a few inches, and shed their pedals, but the main solid part of the body of the bullet, continues on thru the critter. In theory….. Has anyone used these bullets on game? I’m interested in field use experience, as well as my shooting thru a bullet trap of gallon jugs and 1/2” plywood, alternating, with a large cardboard box of sand in the case of over penetration. I have shrink wrap to keep the line of jugs wrapped tightly, and to the table. Thoughts and opinions are welcome!

James has used these on a big boar in the .475 I believe...he said that the bullet was really disappointing...it acted like a self defense bullet and you aren't able to get good ballistics with traditional H110 or Win 296

I tried the CEB factory loaded raptor in 45 ACP on a small pig and I was not impressed. Penetration was lacking and I could not find any damage done by the petals. My one and only time I intend to waste money on them. They are very light for caliber with the large hollow point

These appear to be similar and/or copies of Lehigh Defense Chaos bullets. I've never tried CEB bullets, but I'm a tester for Lehigh. Their Chaos bullets are great.
Killed a 250# black bear 2 years ago with a 250 gr. Chaos in my .375/.284 XP at 144 yds. He dropped. The solid base penetrated both shoulder blades. The 4 petals ended up in the spine, backstrap, intestines, and lungs. All penetrated 6-12". Deer with this bullet drop immediately.
I've used their 115 gr. .30 cal. Chaos in my HS .308. Killed deer out to 400 with them. Damage is equal to, and usually superior to 150 gr. BTs.
I've used Lehigh Penetrators in .44 and .454 on deer and groundhogs. These animals don't provide enough resistance to properly evaluate them. They act like solids, but do kill quickly.
Again, I can't attest to the performance of CEBs, but I give the Lehighs a 5* rating.

That’s the information I like to hear, good or bad. I realize these are new to market pretty much, and as soon as the bullets arrive, I will be out Bullet trap testing, In various media. I will find someone to help me post some pics when I have some to show. Shots will be fairly close, on a light boned 500 pound critter. Penetration isn’t an issue, looking for maximum tissue disruption on entry and passing thru.

hey Doc... what the CEB`s I sent you??

James, your bullets shot very well in my .475 L, but never had a chance to try them on game. I've been hooked on 275 gr. .475 Xs. They worked well on groundhogs, deer, one Cape buff.
Sixshot (Dick) just gave me some 385 gr. cast HPs. They shoot fantastic in my FA- same point of aim as 275X, 400 Speers at 25,50, 100. Did a 1 1/2" group at 50. Did one shot at 100-dead center on a 3" dot. All of this is using a UltraDot & 12 gr. of Unique!!

After playing with and testing as many different bullets as I could beg, borrow, and purchase, I ended up ( very successfully) using 260 grain 375 Accubonds ( also 260 grain ballistic tips) in the G2 Contender in 378GNR. They patterned by far the best, and they both hit same point of aim.
In the FA83, which I mostly used this trip, my normal accuracy load, but with 300 grain Swift Hollow Points performed flawlessly. They were just as accurate as the 300 grain Hornady XTP’s I tested, but everything I shot the Swifts into from water jugs, to a gravel pile, the recovered bullets looked like a magazine ad. Perfect mushroom. Took 6 critters total, 4 revolver, two, at longer ranges with the single shot contender.
