Good question. I picked up a center grip in 35 Rem this summer and I'm going to start working with it. I bought a box of the Hornady 200gr Leverevolution to see how they shoot. From the reports I've seen it's decent ammo.

40gr of H322 and Hornady 180gr Spire Points (SSPB's) shot VERY well from my Super 14 Contender. FPS is just under 2200.

IMR4064 also did very well but I don't like the way it meters.

Varget grouped excellent but was about 200fps slower than the H322 load...Varget only got into the 1990-ish fps range and had unburned powder in the barrel and case.

39.5gr of H322 with 180gr hornady ssp...it's dandy in my rimmed version using 303 british brass... n jis like dan's, is just under 2200fps.
you'd likely be far ahead to start with H322 n the 180 hornady for a work up. i know another feller that used it extensively in several contenders n xp's with great success, n he's the one that turned me onto it.
the maximum killin range of the ol "brush buster" will surprise you.

very nice set o xp's goin there!

Probably can boost that XP action a little more than the contender as it is a bit stronger..I loaded 41.5 grains of H322 with the 180SSP for many years in the XP (old lot of H322) and got some very impressive ballistics from it. You should start a little lower with a new lot and work up. It did a dandy job on one ELK that I know of..and as Kyode said the useful ranges will suprise you.

H322 or H380 is what I use. Both with the Hornady 180 turn some fine groups at 100 & 200yds
