The Mayan priests perdicted the end of the world on Dec 21, 2012. I wounder if they knew the leadership of the greatest country in the world would fail and anarchy would insue for close to 4 years and then tragically end?

LOL<LOL<LOL....should I be laughing?

Re: ????? - 11/06/2008 3:28 AM

tig, that's kind of like the antichrist thing. Everyone thinks it's a big joke but then you stop and think, a man in his forties of muslim descent, reign for 7 years. I don't know if I want to laugh this one off or not.

Re: ????? - 11/06/2008 3:34 AM

I guess another way of looking at it is like the christian talking to the atheist, the christian told the atheist if I'm wrong I'll never know but if your wrong you'll know it forever. Makes you kinda think doesn't it?

YES, I do belive in the Bible and some of the Revelations can be applied to modern day and it does make you do a double take. Time will tell.

I disagree and take offense. There is really no need for that kind of sentiment. I voted for Obama as did many true conservatives, including such notables as Mickey Edwards. Okies will recognize him as a former Republican Congressman (OK, 1977-93). Mickey was a served in the senior party leadership, was a co-founder of the Heritage Foundation (a conservative think-tank), and served as National Chairman of the American Conservative Union.

Re: ????? - 11/06/2008 3:03 PM

I do not believe him to be a muslim, or the antichrist, or much of a Chirstian (some think I am not much of a Chirstian) the one thing I do believe is this man run as a centralist politician and beat a fumbling John McCain (I blame McCain). The Republican party was known for its grass roots orgainization that won elections. McCain and his organic campagining could not withstand the onslaught of a well organized movment. McCain should of been in Ohio for two months shouting nothing but secret ballots in union election, NAFTA renegoitaion, and the Stock Market being up, and the evils of a wellfare state. Rove should not have been on Fox news but on the campaign trail. I blame McCain. There is some good the Senate is not filibuster proof and when you count that 3 senators are Southern and have to listen to the ones who elected them and Joe Leberman the number is really about 48 52. The tell on Obama is his record and the fact that the political heads do not know how he will govern. If no one knew how he would govern why vote for him. Catchy saying does not make Russia stand down, does not protect our indivdual liberties from big goverment nanny staters. Obama flaws are many not his color or reglion. McCain got one thing right the Faliure was his.

Re: ????? - 11/06/2008 4:08 PM

Can or will a leopard change its spots? I do not think so. I think that anyone who voted for Obama fits into at least one of the descriptions posted. Obama has been a threat to the law abiding citizen's rights under the Second Ammendment in many if not all of his decisions. I believe the Second Ammendment to be one of if not the most important ammendment. If by virtue of his position Obama aids or abets the loss of our rights under the Constitution those who voted for him have done a great disservice to our country. At one point in my life I was a defender of only what was of interest to me. I had no use for semi-automatic handguns or assault rifles. I now have a passion for handguns. I purchased an AR-15 last spring. I enjoy shooting it and trying to see how accurate I can get it by adjusting my components. I am not a militant or a criminal. Point is that everyone's interests are important to them and harmless if they are law abiding citizens. After they take the "assault" weapons the handguns will be next. Someone will be killed with a hunting rifle and that will be the next on the list. I hope that everone gets the picture. It has happend before. IMO!!!!!!

While I don't completely agree with Wapitirod's statement, I must wholeheartedly disagree with Chiefs50 statement that "many true conservatives" voted for Obama. An informed "true conservative" would never be able to vote for Obama. Take a close look at his voting record, published statements, stances on social policy, and his fiscal, political and foreign policy experience, and tell me how a "true conservative" could vote for him. Sorry, I don't see it.

Re: ????? - 11/06/2008 6:39 PM

We have been double teamed on this not only do we have to worry about what Obama does to our 2nd Amendment but we have to worry about Biden as well. He is a gun hater as well.

Re: ????? - 11/06/2008 8:34 PM

I stand firmly on what I said, if you consider yourself informed and you aren't in the other categories and you voted for Obama your an idiot. I normally won't get into this stuff but I figure the founding fathers had a reason for making the 2nd amendment 2nd and that's the fact that without it the rest of them have no teeth. Anyone that voted for Obama is a traitor and a enemy to all gun owners in this country and I'm sorry chief but if the shoe fits. Anyone that voted for obama with the excuses I've seen about how bad the Republican party has become has cut off their nose to spite their face. I don't agree with where the party has gone either but I'm sure as hell not going to endanger my 2nd amendment rights to teach them a lesson.

Re: ????? - 11/06/2008 9:25 PM

a couple more things I should bring up, first the antichrist stuff was meant to be a sobering kind of joke in line with what tig had wrote and secondly this whole election mess wasn't about democrat vs republican, I'm actually more central until it comes to the constitution and it is obvious that the candidates that would have been better at upholding the constitution this time would have been, and normally are the republicans. I'm guessing those of you that voted for obama didn't know that one of obamas campaign managers when asked about the type of judges he would appoint stated that the obama camp believes that the constitution is a living growing thing that needs to change with the times, in other words if they feel there are too many guns on the street then lets amend or remove the second amendment.

Re: ????? - 11/06/2008 9:47 PM

An uninformed person should not be voting. I took the time to learn all of the facts about both candidates. The Supreme Court judge issue was reported many times by the press.

Nothing wrong with whinning about it. It's good to vent and what's wrong talking about something that is going to happen if we don't fight it. Some can sit and take it in stride and some of us want to talk about it. I don't see a problem with this. But then that is my opinion.

Well said Rod and Rupe! Not only will the second amendment be threatened, but the first amendment will be challenged too. I would be very surprised if the "Fairness Doctorine" is not pushed through in the next two years.

Re: ????? - 11/07/2008 12:45 AM

I totally disagree! The first question I have to ask is who is in charge/owns the station? The next question I have to ask is are there any constituents? Look at what is going on in Iraq RIGHT NOW and then look to see what the press is really saying about it! There are service members begging to go over right now and it is not to fight. There is a lot of work to do over there. (I know this from all the change of command and retire ceremonies I play, it is not first hand. But I think I can trust the CNO and Cap's ext.…) EG, a Church of Christ preacher had his talk show shut down on a radio station. Why, because the owner of the radio was Catholic. In short, the propaganda machine leading the media I not blind but bias to their views!

Re: ????? - 11/07/2008 1:05 AM

Thats the danger of the "Fairness Doctorine". It will silence conservative voices, but the "unbiased" liberal media outlets will be allowed to continue with their agenda.

Re: ????? - 11/07/2008 1:38 AM

I wonder how much they will PULL in the first 2 years,You know they wont go for everything all at once.
They want to make sure and keep power after the next elections come up .If they do all the things I am afraid they will, and did them in the first 2 years I believe things would then change quickly.
I had someone who voted obama say to me (after I pointed out a few facts)that if he is as bad as I say then later you can say "you told me so" At that point I replied ,I wont need to say HA HA cause we will all be living a third world lifestyle together.I dont know if it sunk in or not,I dont think so.
But I have hope that once all the folks that voted for obama start feeling it when their 401 k and other pension plans get taken over ,we might hear some complaining.Sorry about the rant but I could go on for much longer.

I completely agree with Tig...except one point. It's not just "Some"....a LOT of Revelation is occurring in our days...which I believe to be the last days...but that's another conversation.

Re: ????? - 11/07/2008 2:57 PM

WOW...we have reduced ourselves a bit. I did not vote for Obama, but he is now our next President. Like it or not...we did not do enough to convince our friends and neighbors that there was a better (much) better choice available to lead our country. It is "our" fault...not yours or his or hers...."OURS". Now what do we do? We become diligent stewards of our faith, families and work places. Some of you work at home, at the plant, in an office, out in the fields, wherever...we must strive to be better at what we do and how we do it. We must constantly remind our Senators, Congressmen and local leaders that like it or not WE are the BOARD OF DIRECTORS and what they do will be scrutinized by us. THEY are to be held accountable and we expect them to do a good job...no make that a great job...on our behalf.

And lastly, get on your knees and pray for our great country. I don't care what your faith is, but have some, and practice it openly, with your children, neighbors and co-workers. Do not be a fanatic about it, but sincere and faithful.

I'm certainly no preacher or a saint...chief among sinners is my title...and I must be a better person, husband, boss, brother, uncle and most important...DAD. Nobody has to tell me, I know.

Gentlemen (and ladies), we are the future and we will make some poor choices occasionally. We must learn from them and correct them when necessary to carry on this great country we live in. I've said it before and I'll say it again. The men and women of our military are my heroes...past and present!

Now let's quit bickering and get busy!

Wapitirod, While I did take your antichrist comments as a joke many do feel or at least worry of antichrist doomsday or muslim take over were Obama is concered. I just got done talking to a man from Boston of all places that has those fears. We attended the same universtiy and he was a bussiness major (very smart). We would not approve of someone from the other side making jokes about our 2nd amendment (at least I wouldn't). We shold not ingauge in something that invokes that kind of fear. Obama is a threat to not only our rights but others no more no less. I did not mean to offened you if I did. He won by more or less tricking the masses with promises of milk and honey. We did our best John McCain let him get away with it. That said he is my President and I will exercise all my rights to hold his feet and the rest of our elected officals feet to the polictial fire. I encourge all to do the same. All ways pray for our nation.

I bet your friend messed his drawers when he heard Osamas agenda today. You had better collect on your bet soon though. If Obama is his role model, his word will mean next to nothing.
