Hornady 6.8 v-max for deer hunting?? - 11/18/2008 2:44 AM

I was just wondering would the hornady 110 grain v-max work for deer hunting?? We have some very small deer around 130 lbs. I will also try to shoot a few hogs. I will shooting this out of a 14" contender. I'm thinking even though this bullet is for varmints; with the slower velocity of a pistol it might work well. I don't reload, but I've always had great luck with double tap ammo. With my 10mm glock and .375 H&H DT ammo shoots great. What does everyone think???
