Tell me everything you guys know about the 7X30 waters in a 14" contender barrel.

Other than it is a very good cartridge for just about anything what are you wanting to know? It is very accurate, and with 140 grain bullets it works very well on deer, hogs, and elk. It is very easy to reload and you can buy factory ammunition from Federal. The recoil is nothing to bad even without a brake.

I love mine, like most people and I think its probably the best setup in a Tender!
I shoot 120grn Vmax and it lays the smack down on deer/'Lope.

The Hornady 120-VM and Sierra 130-SSPB work well. In my tests, none of the 140's expanded enough on either deer or antelope past 100 yards. (Save the 140's for a 7-08). AA2520 gave the best velocities/groups in my 14" barrel. Watch case length because they will grow, and trim when required.
