Re: The Leopard is ready to pounce - 09/21/2010 12:33 AM
I assumed you guys would just start guessing
Okay, here we go...
Chuck McIntosh of Mac’s Gunwork’s did all the work (307-689-2796) except fluting the barrel.
BAT action, Jewell trigger, Krieger 1-8 twist barrel, Mac brake, McRee pistol aluminum stock, Camo cerakote by Chuck.
Chambering is the 6.5 Leopard (270WSM Norma brass necked down-Not a tight neck).
Holland scope level.
H-1000, Fed 210M’s, 130 Bergers @ 3085 fps.
Shot this rig out to 1200 yards confirming drops-Shoots real nice!
Also, nailed a couple of pd's around a 1/4 mile while popping steel-had a hard time staying focused, when they kept begging me to shoot them. Just to close not to shoot.

One like this

For some reason I though you had one too

Ernie, have you been shooting the steel targets you bought from me? Just wondering how they have been holding up for you and how you liked them...

I used them for the MOA roving field course, and I again used them for a roving field course I put on for church member's this past Saturday.
We had 11 shooters in all.
I like them.
Wish I had a few more in fact

Well, I can take you to a steel range where you can shoot from 200-1200 yards in 100 yard increments--If you so desire

Thanks Ernie, don't know that I will have that much time, with 17 hunters this year, but I sure would like to pull the triggers on those beauts...

I didn't mean that, though, if you have some steel already to go that you are wanting to sell, give me a call 307-257-7431.
I meant, that I could take steel I already have and meet Gregg at the ranch if needed.

I forgot who, but someone asked what Chuck charges for this type of camo work.
Cost is $250 and if you want a camo job like mine. The large camo is $200.
